Bruno Castro Santos
Bruno Castro Santos, Lisbon, 1972. Lived in the United States between 1990 and 1998 where he completed a bachelor of architecture in the Southern California Institute of Architecture in Los Angeles. Subsequently, Bruno concluded his academic studies with a Master’s Degree in Advanced Architecture Design from Columbia University, New York. Following a decade of architecture practice and teaching, he gradually devoted himself to the arts, having completed in 2012 the Advanced Fine Arts Degree from Ar.Co.
Since 2012 the artist has been showing his work collectively and individually in galleries, institutional and cultural venues in Portugal and abroad.
His work has been featured in group exhibitions in institutions and galleries such as Sala do Veado, Museum of Natural History Lisbon (2012) Forum Eugénio de Almeida Foundation, Evora (2012), Palácio Viscondes de Balsemão, Oporto (2015), Contemporary Arts Center, Malaga, Spain (2015), João Esteves de Oliveira Gallery (2017). His work features in several institutional collections such as Figueiredo Ribeiro Collection, The Benetton Foundation, The Malaga Centre for Contemporary Art, The Portuguese Republic Museum and several private collections. Lives and works in Lisbon.
